If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Prevention and Diversion Department as part of our Youth Intervention Services (YIS) program!
OverviewPurpose of the Role:
As a YIS Counselor, you'll be at the heart of helping youth overcome social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. In this role, you'll work directly with young individuals and their families, offering the support and resources they need to navigate difficult moments, build resilience, and thrive. You'll empower them with the tools and guidance necessary to create positive change and achieve lasting growth.
- Provide one-on-one and/or group counseling to youth experiencing difficulties in their personal, school, or social lives.
- Collaborate with youth and families to create service plans that foster growth, development, and lasting change.
- Work in a dynamic environment where every day brings new opportunities to make a lasting impact.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field; and two (2) years of professional experience in the field of child welfare or social services.

Bachelor’s degree with a related field and one (1) year of professional experience in the field of child welfare or social services. [

Minimum Requirements:
Possess a valid Florida Driver’s License in good standing and be insurable by the agency’s current insurance carrier. Must meet state criminal background check requirements. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Knowledge of community resources.
