Field Decommission Technicians are responsible for safely decommissioning power distribution equipment in commercial and industrial facilities. They disconnect, dismantle, and remove electrical systems such as switch gear, transformers, and panels while adhering to strict safety protocols and regulatory standards.

• Disassemble decommissioned power distribution units.
• Salvage metals and useable parts from decommissioned power distribution units.
• Proper handling and disposal of oils, solvents and other liquid compounds.
• Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools.
• Ability to operate cutting torch to cut metal parts.
• Operate forklift, overhead crane and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Responsible for all shop equipment and tools in his/her worksite.
• Must be willing to travel throughout the Emerald Transformer service territory. Overnight and extended stays near customer locations are required.
• Must be willing to work overtime and call-in hours to meet all customer needs. This includes evening and weekend responses to emergency calls as required.
