JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB CODE:
To provide skilled work at a journeyman level in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical, electronic and pneumatic controls systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of the electrical, electronic and mechanical trades, methods, procedures and techniques. Knowledge of basic air conditioning/heating systems and pneumatic and electric controls. Knowledge of the practices, methods, materials and tools commonly utilized in the repair and service of air conditioning/heating equipment. Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints. Ability to read, interpret and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, specifications and operating manuals.
Ability to locate and adjust defects in electrical, pneumatic and electronic systems. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and the safety precautions of the trade. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to meet deadlines with severe time constraints.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The employee is exposed to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. The employee frequently will work irregular or extended work hours while performing the duties of this job. The employee regularly is required to lift, hold, carry, sit, stand, walk, climb crawl, bend, stoop, apply finger dexterity, grasp, feel, perform repetitive motions, talk, hear, and rely on visual acuity.
The noise level in the work environment can be high ety is the highest priority.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District's approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the District.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
