HVAC Lead Service Technician

Job Summary

HVAC Service Technician role at IES Residential’s Bayonet Plumbing, Cooling and Heating division. Immediate opening for experienced, career‑oriented residential technicians in Hudson, FL.

• Service calls and diagnostics: promptly respond to residential requests, troubleshoot and identify HVAC malfunctions, test system components.
• Routine maintenance: perform preventive maintenance tasks, conduct seasonal tune‑ups.
• Repair, replacement & installation: repair or replace defective parts, perform system upgrades or installations.
• Customer communication and service: communicate clearly with customers, educate homeowners on system care.
• Documentation and reporting: maintain accurate records of service visits, complete work orders using mobile applications.
• Safety, compliance & environmental practices: follow safety procedures, ensure work complies with codes and regulations.
• Team collaboration and scheduling: coordinate with dispatchers and teammates, support knowledge sharing.

• Valid Florida driver’s license with a three‑year clean record.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience servicing residential HVAC systems.
• Valid EPA certification.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems.
• Proficient in using HVAC diagnostic tools and software.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

• Lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Climb ladders, work in crawl spaces and attics, handle outdoor conditions year‑round.
• Work in environments involving dust, heat, noise and tight spaces.
