Position:
Parts Specialist
- Service Plumbing
The Parts Specialist supports technicians and customers by identifying, sourcing, and tracking plumbing parts needed for service jobs. This role works closely with technicians, suppliers, and customer service to ensure accurate ordering, timely delivery, and clear communication. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-call-volume environment.

Duties/Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to
- Working with technicians to identify the correct part needed.
- Sourcing parts through wholesale and specialty suppliers based on price, quality and availability.
- Providing cost estimates and time frame for delivery to potential customers.
- Issuing purchase orders to external suppliers.
- Tracking purchase orders, costs and shipping fees on individual work orders in order to expedite job completion.
- Assisting with costing, invoicing and payment processing.
- Handling high call volume, answering questions for both internal and external clients.
- Maintaining regular communication with clients, as needed to update them on progress or changes.
- Accurate tracking of parts ordered, including costs, customer quotes and mark-ups.
- Working closely with a team of Customer Service Representatives
- Any reasonable job or task assigned by supervisor or management.
- Minimum of 5 years in plumbing fixture and faucet components
- Solid computer research skills.
- Great customer relation skills and phone etiquette.
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task at a high level in order to juggle ongoing needs.
- Attention to detail to ensure all documentation is properly logged when ordering parts.
- Mechanical knowledge or repair experience.
- Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
- Positive initiative-taker who is coachable and willing to learn new things.
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Stand, kneel, bend, climb, squat, and reach above shoulder
- Use upper extremities for grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine hand manipulations.
- Work outdoors in extreme conditions (heat, cold, etc.) and in tight or confined spaces when required.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
