Job Title: Commercial Flooring Apprentice/Warehouse
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Lead Installer / Project Manager

The Commercial Flooring Apprentice supports experienced installers on commercial job sites while learning the skills required to become a professional flooring installer. This is an entry-level, hands-on position with training provided and opportunities for long-term growth in the commercial flooring industry. Responsible for receiving, organizing, staging, and shipping commercial flooring materials to support job sites and installers.

• Assist lead installers with commercial flooring installation (carpet tile, LVT, VCT, sheet vinyl, rubber, etc.).
• Prepare job sites including floor preparation, material staging, removal of existing flooring, and cleanup.
• Load, unload, and transport tools and materials.
• Follow job specifications, installation instructions, and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Learn proper use of tools, adhesives, and installation techniques.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
• Represent the company professionally on job sites.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming flooring materials.
• Report shortages, damages, or incorrect shipments.
• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory.
• Pull, stage, and prepare materials for job sites.
• Load and unload trucks safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
• Assist with inventory tracking and documentation.
• Support installers and project managers as needed.

• No prior flooring experience required (training provided).
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Ability to pass background check.
