Do you have experience with building maintenance and using handheld tools? Join our team! In this role, you’ll assist with maintaining the grounds, interior, exterior, and equipment of county-owned and operated facilities. - Ensure the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the building including debris cleaning, maintaining the restrooms, replacing lamps/bulbs, paint touch-ups, etc.
- Inspect buildings and report all unsafe conditions to the Supervisor, test AED batteries, and inspect fire extinguishers.
- Inspect custodial contractors’ work, monitor storeroom supplies, and refill.
- Replace the flag and dispose of it properly.
- Assist skilled trades workers with projects/repairs.
- Use of gas-powered pressure washing equipment on building exteriors/hard finishes.
- Minor building maintenance: level/reset pavers on county property to eliminate trip hazards, concrete patchwork/crack filling, etc.
- Complete the proper paperwork for the work order management system.
- Monday - Friday.
- 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- On‑call required.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- One year of experience in applicable trade.
- Valid Florida Driver's License at time of hire.
- Able to use hand tools, cordless power tools, and lawn equipment (hand blowers).
- May occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

About Everything Else Starting Pay Range$18.21 (Step
1), depending on qualifications
