We are currently seeking a Full-Time Night Plant Maintenance Lead for our Lamont, FL quarry. The plant maintenance mechanic lead will be responsible for daily maintenance and repair of the plant, as well as other miscellaneous work that needs to be performed. Responsibilities include plant maintenance, repair, and installation operations as assigned, performing special maintenance projects, and maintenance and repair on all facility equipment.

Troubleshoot and determine appropriate maintenance, replacing defective parts as needed. Maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in use at the plant.

The mechanic will be responsible for completing the necessary paperwork and communicating any maintenance needs to management. This role requires following all safety regulations set forth by the company and maintaining a clean work environment, including all equipment and the facility.

The mechanic will be responsible for keeping and turning in the required paperwork for maintenance needs, parts and service work orders and invoices, safety documentation. The role may involve operating heavy equipment and providing support wherever needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds alone and stand a large portion of the day. The working environment includes varying weather conditions, dust, and noisy areas with substantial walking, bending, stooping, lifting or working in awkward or strained positions.

Some hazards exist due to working in and around trucks and machinery. Overtime and some weekends may be required as business needs require. Primary location:
Lamont, FL area.

• Perform daily maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and replace defective parts; perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Complete required paperwork for maintenance, parts and service work orders, invoices, and safety documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for equipment and facility.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed and assist wherever required.
• Work overtime and some weekends as required by business needs.

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Front-end Loader, Fork Lift, and Highlift experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in the maintenance field.
• General experience with mining equipment and ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mining operations.
• Ability to make simple electrical diagnosis and repairs.
• Familiarity with MSHA regulations.
• Conveyor system repair experience.
• Experience in welding, acetylene cutting, fabrication, and plumbing.
• Experience in excavator operation and dredging preferred.
