Maintenance Mechanic

Tallahassee, FL 32399

• Performs daily inspections of HVAC systems including all associated system components.
• Performs minor repairs to HVAC systems and components as needed.
• Reports any major malfunctions to direct supervisor.
• Performs minor repairs and modifications Building plumbing and electrical systems and other equipment. This includes, but not limited to: adding or removing electrical outlets, lighting fixtures, lighting ballast, replacing light bulbs, replacing flush valves on plumbing fixtures and making necessary thermostat adjustments.
• Performs preventive maintenance to equipment and maintains necessary files and documentation on same. This includes, but not limited to, air filters, lubrication of motors, and shaft bearings.
• Performs and records monthly inspections of Life Safety components, to include but not limited to:
  Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lights, Exit Lights, and Fire Doors.
