The purpose of a Pro Solutions Mechanic is to utilize mechanical expertise to support the branch in a professional, safe and timely manner. An individual in this position will work to keep all equipment in peak operating condition through an effective preventive maintenance program and a detailed repair schedule. The role is Monday through Friday and primarily works on Cummins and John Deere engines.

• Develop and maintain a consistent schedule of performing preventive maintenance on all Herc‑owned fleet at long‑term customer job sites.
• Oversee and conduct oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted services.
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment as required to ensure proper operating condition at the job site.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems.
• Recondition and replace parts to return equipment to a safely functioning state.
• Educate customers on proper use of equipment to avoid future breakdowns.
• Analyze problem areas for significant wear or tear and address them to ensure proper usage until the next scheduled visit.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines posted at active job sites where repairs and maintenance are completed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area on the job site.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs.
• Follow all company filed procedures and protocols.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Must have Journeyman Off‑Road Certification.
• Extensive generator experience.
• Ability to work constructively under pressure.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong initiative and organizational skills.
• Exceptional communication skills while maintaining a professional customer‑service focused attitude.
• Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license; a recent driver’s abstract will be required.

Type: Replacement

Pay Range: $46 – $49.50 per hour
