Position Summary

Operate and maintain heavy, motorized crane equipment used in remediation operations in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

* Operate heavy, motorized crane equipment used in remediation operations to support a variety of heavy earthworks operations.

* Use hand-held mobile radio units to coordinate tasks and resources.

* Read and comply with safety plans, rules, maintenance instructions, training materials, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), warning tags, traffic signs and procedure manuals.

* Follow all safety guidelines, protocols, and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and bystanders. Conduct pre-operational inspections of cranes to ensure proper functioning and identify any potential hazards.

* Safely lift, move, and position heavy materials, equipment, and machinery using the crane. Determine load capacities, rigging requirements, and appropriate lifting techniques for each task.

* Maintain clear and effective communication with other team members, including signalers or riggers, to coordinate lifting operations and ensure safe load movement.

* Perform routine maintenance and inspection of cranes, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs. Report any equipment malfunctions or defects to the appropriate personnel.

* Complete accurate records and logbooks related to crane operations, maintenance activities, and any incidents or accidents that occur during work hours.

* Ability to travel, work extended hours.

* Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed.

Basic Qualifications

* High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.

* Two plus years of crane operation/maintenance experience. Clamshell and/or Chisel is a plus.

* CCO Mobile Crane Operator Certification for Lattice Boom Crawler Cranes (LBC).

Preferred Qualifications

* The following safety training is preferred, but not mandatory. Company will provide additional training, as necessary.

* 40 Hour HAZWOPER training.

* Competent Person Safety Training

* 8-Hour Supervisory Training

* 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training

* First Aid and CPR

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, extended standing or walking on project sites, climbing in and out of equipment, and working in confined spaces or k conditions and demands may vary, with possible exposure to heavy machinery, chemicals, dust, fumes, noise, and extreme weather. Proper PPE, including protective eyewear, gloves, a hard hat, and steel-toed boots, is required. Effective communication, tool use, and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
