Take part in a hands‑on training program to earn Safelite Safe Tech certification and work independently on glass repair, replacement, and recalibration.
What You Will Do- Be paid to learn and apprentice the Safelite way, through hands‑on and classroom training
- Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass
- Recalibrate automotive safety systems, including troubleshooting and completing diagnostic testing
- Provide additional services and products
- Study and pass testing to become a Safelite‑certified Technician demonstrating proficiency in installations and positive customer service
- Operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools and chemicals safely throughout the workday
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Compliance with all company policies and standards
- Competitive weekly pay starting at $19.25 per hour, increasing to $22.75 per hour after training and certification
- Earn $5 per set of wiper blades when added for customer safety
- Potential to be promoted in your first year based on performance metrics

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license (other licenses required by federal, state, or local laws)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Stand for extended periods; work in tight spaces; bend and twist the body
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Operate a motor vehicle in compliance with all laws and company safety camera monitoring
- Maintain professionalism and passion for outstanding customer service
- Work outside in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures for extended periods
- Work with chemicals, including flammable substances, as required by the Safelite Way of Fitting
- Adapt schedule to accommodate customer needs
- Proficient with computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations and trouble‑shooting
- Problem‑solve independently and collaboratively
- Read, write, and interpret English language and technical directions
- Communicate orally (via phone) and in writing (via computer or other electronic means)
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code and PPE policies
- Handle stable performance under pressure or opposition, including time pressure and productivity measures
