Location: Hudson

Bayonet Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team in Hudson, Florida. The HVAC Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on residential and/or commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, customer-oriented, and able to work in Florida’s outdoor climate conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, and ventilation equipment
  • Inspect systems to identify wear, damage, or potential failures
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical HVAC issues
  • Replace filters, belts, motors, and other minor components
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation

    Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding system condition and recommended maintenance
  • Comply with all applicable state and local codes and regulations
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of HVAC maintenance experience (preferred)
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (required)
  • Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Preferred Qualifications
  • HVAC trade school or technical certification
  • Experience with commercial HVAC systems
  • Familiarity with Florida building codes
  • Strong customer service skills
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing
  • Ability to work in hot, humid, outdoor environments
  • Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and in confined spaces
  • Manual dexterity to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
