Base Pay Range$18.00/yr - $20.00/yr
Responsibilities- Perform daily inspections of the Bryant Building HVAC systems and other building components.
- Conduct minor repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Report major malfunctions to direct supervisor.
- Make necessary adjustments to lighting fixtures, outlets, plumbing valves, and thermostat settings.
- Maintain and document preventive maintenance activities including air filters, motor lubrication, and shaft bearings.
- Record monthly inspections of life‑safety components such as fire extinguishers, exit lights, and fire doors.
- Inspect interior and exterior building condition to ensure janitorial services are satisfactory, performing minor cleaning when needed.
- Assist with office relocations and furniture assembly within the Bryant Building and satellite offices.
- Maintain the building security system, program access cards, and provide security reports as requested.
- Coordinate outside contractors for repairs that cannot be handled in‑house.
- Serve as point of contact for staff at the Koger Center Office complex and report issues to maintenance staff.
- Be available for on‑call duties and respond to after‑hours maintenance or emergency calls with the agency‑assigned cell phone.
Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in building maintenance and repair (plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
- Knowledge of mechanical repair techniques, safety procedures, and blueprints.
- Ability to install, maintain, and repair electric motors and generators.
- Skilled use of maintenance tools and equipment.
- Capability to take accurate measurements, lift up to 50 lbs, and climb for equipment installation.
- Proficiency with a personal computer.
- On‑call availability during off‑duty periods.
