Schedule:

Start time 6:30 am, M-F. Are you a hands‑on leader who thrives in the field and takes pride in safety and quality? Starlink Construction is looking for an experienced Trenching Foreman to lead our crews and keep projects running safely, efficiently, and on time, installing power conduit and structures by backhoe, mini, or hand trenching. • Lead with safety first:
  Stop any job to correct safety concerns and set the tone for a safe work environment.
• Manage daily start‑up and end‑of‑day tasks — including PPE reminders, vehicle/tool inspections, and equipment checks.
• Operate backhoes, mini‑excavators, and other heavy equipment while guiding your crew to meet daily goals.
• Read and interpret blueprints, job prints, and work orders to ensure accurate and efficient work.
• Perform hands‑on labor as needed, from placing underground utilities to shoring, bracing, and concrete/asphalt work.
• Conduct quality checks and communicate progress updates with supervisors.
• Participate in team meetings and performance reviews.

• Proven experience in utility construction, excavation, or related field leadership roles.
• Ability to read construction drawings and plans.
• Comfortable operating heavy equipment and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 80 lbs. occasionally.
• Comfort with standing, crouching, and working outdoors for extended periods.

• Hourly Range: $21.00 — $25.00, based on experience

Employees are taken to job sites from the Construction Yard every day to jobs across Tampa.
