Position: SPECIAL SECURITY SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Location: Eglin Air Force Base

Duties DUTY 1:
Serves as security program specialist executing and enforcing compliance with operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of an integrated information security program.

Interprets Air Force (AF), Department of Defense (DoD), and other federal regulations for information security processes as they apply and are implemented within the organization. DUTY 2:
Executes and enforces compliance with the organization personnel security program. Interprets AF, DoD, Executive Orders, and national regulations and laws for Personnel Security processes as they apply and are implemented within the organization. Analyzes personnel security problems, mission vulnerabilities, security impacts to mission assurance, and convergence difficulties involving multiple security disciplines and other functional areas; and provides cost effective, efficient, and productive solutions to ensure mission success.

DUTY 3:
Administers the Physical Security Program for the organization.

Uses comprehensive knowledge of the integrated organization's mission to advise commanders, wing personnel, and visitors on security facilities, equipment, alarm installation, maintenance, and use. DUTY 4:
Manages and oversees SAP security activities within the facility.

Serves as the security subject matter expert for the development, coordination and protection of special access program technologies for the F-35 and follow-on programs. Interprets and implements guidance from SAF/AAZ, DoDMs and AFIs; ensures personnel comply with security standards. DUTY 5:
Serves as the organization's representative for Industrial Security issues.

Maintains an in-depth knowledge of multiple customer missions in order to facilitate the protection of classified and SCI access as required by contract performance. Maintains detailed records on all supported industrial security activities. Implements foreign disclosure procedures.

Reviews and approves classified and unclassified export-controlled documents and information for release and transmission to foreign governments, agencies, and representatives. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This position is a designated national security position Qualifications This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
