As a Security Guard - Armed Utilities Patrol in Gibsonton, FL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities. This Part‑Time Security Officer position allows you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

Pay Rate: $20.20 / Hour

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies and, when appropriate, respond to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, using sound judgment and training to address each situation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and suspicious behavior.
• Monitor and report any irregularities or security‑related concerns observed during patrols or while stationed at assigned posts.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to personnel and visitors.
• Interact professionally with personnel, visitors, and contractors, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
• Follow all Allied Universal protocols and procedures specific to the utilities environment, including adherence to armed post requirements.

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
