Overview

Join to apply for the Protection Officer/Security Guard role at TRVST Inc.

Hiring for numerous positions ranging from event posts including High Rise Condos to Spring Training Baseball. Both Part-time and Full-time positions. The candidate must be available to work an occasional 3rd shift/weekends and have prior customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Protection Officers are the cornerstones at TRVST Security. Our officers ensure the safety and security of the facilities they protect. They may patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle, work at the entrance to the facility and answer phones, greet guests and employees and monitor closed-circuit television systems, alarms, and other important facility systems. They act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions;

detect suspicious activities and watch for criminal acts or rule infractions at or near assigned posts that may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site or event.

Essential Functions:

Officers may be asked to perform many essential functions at the facility or event where they work; these include but are not limited to:

  • Build, maintain and protect high-quality security services to protect people and property.
  • Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with client employees and guests.
  • Greet guests and employees in a cheerful and welcoming manner; answer questions and assist guests and employees.
  • Remain flexible to the ever-changing environment; adapt well to different situations.
  • Patrolling the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
  • Monitoring closed-circuit television systems and alarms.
Qualifications
  • Previous contract security, military or law enforcement experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with the ability to work independently.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED, or at least 5 years of verifiable employment history.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing.
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality; neat and professional appearance; friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to provide quality customer service and handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively at the client site.
