Pay: $20.50 / hour, weekly paid.
Job Summary: Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Professional (Unarmed) to patrol a local hospital and support staff in a safety‑sensitive environment. Responsibilities include unarmed foot and vehicle patrol, access control, CCTV monitoring, incident reporting, and patient escort duties.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of hospital grounds and interior areas.
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems; document observations of unusual conditions.
- Control access and egress; permit authorized entry while preventing contraband.
- Assist hospital staff with de‑escalation and restraining combative individuals as needed.
- Escort patients to the morgue, helicopter pad, or other designated areas.
- Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, or natural disasters.
- Sound alarms or call police/fire departments for fire or unauthorized presence.
- Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports; maintain written logs.
Qualifications (must have):
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current driver's license if operating company or customer‑owned vehicle.
- Minimum 2 years verifiable experience in customer service or protective services (preferably security, healthcare, or law enforcement).
- At least 18 years of age; able to pass drug screening and, if required, a tuberculosis test and vaccinations.
- Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
- Excellent oral and written communication, problem‑solving, and active‑listening skills.
- Diplomatic conflict mediation and resolution skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to assess situations promptly.
Preferred qualifications:
- Military or law‑enforcement service related to security or combat zones.
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in law‑enforcement or criminal justice.
- Associate’s degree with 60 credits in law‑enforcement or criminal justice and prior military service.
- Minimum 8 years service in any military branch.
