Environmental Intern to join our Minerals Enterprise team! This position will report directly to the Environmental Manager
.

Location: Starke, Florida and/or Jesup, Georgia

Hours: Full‑time 40 hours a week

Term: June – August 2026, conforming to school schedule

Responsibilities
  • Working with experienced environmental and mining professionals on operations improvement projects.
  • Assisting mine and plant operations with identifying opportunities for environmental improvement, developing alternative solutions, and making recommendations.
  • Advancing Chemours’ safety culture.
  • Contributing to team meetings and participating in team activities.
Required
  • Enrollment at an accredited college or university pursuing an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science or comparable fields.
  • Good capabilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Preferred
  • Experience with environmental investigations in the field.
  • Capability with ArcGIS.
  • Familiarity with technical and regulatory aspects of hydrology, water quality, wetlands, protected species, air quality, or related environmental disciplines.
  • Strong interest in applying environmental practices to industrial operations.
  • Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom.
