Responsibilities:- Be the Customer Champion:
Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team-based selling model. Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies to help customers succeed. - Drive Sales Success:
Sell to customers, increase case growth, and acquire new business through impactful sales presentations and a tailored approach. Effective time and territory management is critical. - Team Based Selling:
Work collaboratively with Specialists to target penetration opportunities and new accounts. Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and customer service for seamless product delivery. - Lead with Insight:
Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, client leads, organizations, clubs, trade shows, and conferences. - Delivery Resolution:
Manage deliveries by following the transportation department’s routing schedule. Troubleshoot any order‑process problems such as delivery mis‑picks, short loads, or stock‑outs. - Competitive Advantage:
Stay informed on market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales; share this information with customers as part of value‑added services. - Stay on the Move:
Drive a personal vehicle for regular check‑ins, site visits, and follow‑ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
- No direct reports.
- Daily work outside the office in your assigned territory, visiting customers in variable weather and temperature conditions.
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license is required, and a clean motor vehicle record is necessary.
- Food service industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and to cold‑call for new business.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
- Problem‑solving, organization, and negotiation skills.
- Team‑up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Tech‑savvy – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
- Able to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $50,000 and $90,000.
