FL Farm Shop Assistant Laborer

What to Expect in the Role:

• Generate purchase orders for the shop
• Enter inventory distributions
• File records
• Inventory distributions
• Order inventory items
• Answer shop phones
• Maintain inventory of shop purchase orders
• Assist shop manager in general day-to-day functions
• Transport parts
• Order shop office supplies
• Generate vehicle mileage logs
• Follow required safety procedures
• Keep work area and equipment clean
• Attend and participate in company safety programs
• Assist in training new employees
• Maintain/balance fuel distributions

• Must be computer literate
• Requires ability to understand oral and written instructions with ability to convey ideas and information relating to the assigned task
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Requires ability to understand and comply with posted work rules and procedures
• Majority of work is performed in the shop office and shop area
• Work requires exposure to all temperature and weather extremes, loud noises, moving equipment, wetness, dust, fumes
• Requires working around fuels, oil, paints, lubricants, solvents, and various other products located in the shop
