Mitre 10 is proudly New Zealand owned and operated, and Mitre 10 MEGA Westgate is a fast‑paced, growing store that supports both tradies and DIY customers. Our Trade Counter is all about quick service, product knowledge, and building strong relationships with our regular customers.

You’ll be right at the heart of the Trade Counter, dealing with everyone from one‑off DIY customers to regular trade account holders. Not two days are the same, and teamwork is key.

• Serving trade and retail customers at the counter in a friendly, efficient way
• Making sure tradies get what they need quickly and accurately
• Processing sales and account transactions
• Answering phones and responding to emails
• Helping out with stock, picking orders, and assisting customers on the floor when needed

We’re looking for someone practical, approachable, and customer‑focused. Ideally, you’ll bring:

• A positive attitude and strong team spirit
• Confidence dealing with tradies and building regular customer relationships
• Good communication skills and common sense
• The ability to stay calm and organised in a busy environment
• Willingness to learn and pitch in wherever needed
• Experience with timber or building products (great if you have it, but not essential)

• As supportive, down‑to‑earth team environment

This is a part‑time role working 24 hours per week, rostered on Friday, Saturday, and Monday. Working one weekend day is part of the role.
