Banquet Cook

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Banquet Cook with hotel experience to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, maintains a clean and efficient workstation, and works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role supports banquet and event operations by preparing high-quality food that meets hotel standards for presentation, taste, and consistency.

• Prepare and execute banquet menus for events, meetings, and special functions
• Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety and health regulations
• Assist with setup, service, and breakdown for banquet events as needed
• Work closely with chefs and kitchen team members to ensure smooth service and timely food production
• Properly store, label, and rotate food products (FIFO)
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure event timelines are met
• Support other kitchen areas when needed

• Minimum of 2–3 years of banquet or hotel kitchen experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of large-scale food preparation and banquet service
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Proven ability to work cleanly and efficiently
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
