Job SummaryPerform cook duties at Patrick Space Force Base, Riverside Dining. Reports to the site leadership team.
Minimum Qualifications- No minimum experience required
- Background screening for access to the work areas
- Pre‑employment drug test
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Prior work experience as a cook preferred
- Use a full range of quality cooking procedures from common and frequently used new or difficult recipes. Prepare a variety of meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, sauces, and gravies.
- On a day‑to‑day basis prepare multiple menu items for one meal which involve planning and coordination steps to ensure that all items are ready for serving at the same time.
- Keep Shift Supervisor or Cook II informed of overall work operation (e.g., activities, progress, delays).
- Assure established safety and housekeeping procedures are followed by all workers on shift.

Physical RequirementsRequirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require the following:
Repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving up to 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations, when practical, can be offered to accomplish the above requirements.
- Tasks are regularly performed inside without exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes).
- Will need to use any personal protective (safety) equipment as designated properly and consistently.
- Involves exposure to hazardous materials (i.e., cleaning solutions and bio‑waste hazards).
- Required training provided by the company.
- Some tasks may be performed independently with little supervision.
Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity.
AvailabilityFull time days - Monday through Friday, 6:30 am–2 pm, Must work a Saturday or Sunday once a month on Reserve Weekend.
Salary$18.05/HR
