Overview
The Closing Coordinator is responsible for managing real estate transaction files from contract to closing. This role reviews title commitments, prepares closing documentation, coordinates with lenders, agents, buyers, and sellers while ensuring all requirements are met for a smooth and compliant closing.
Key Responsibilities- Review purchase contracts and open title orders.
- Examine title commitments, requirements, and exceptions.
- Coordinate with underwriters, lenders, real estate agents, and attorneys.
- Order and review payoffs, HOA estoppels, surveys, and other required documents.
- Prepare closing packages and settlement statements (CD/ALTA/HUD).
- Communicate with all parties to schedule closings and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records and update files in the title software system.
- Ensure all closing conditions are satisfied prior to closing.
