Overview
What You’ll Do:
As a QAP Technician, you are responsible for monitoring and verifying that manufacturing processes and finished products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role performs routine inspections, tests, and documentation to ensure product consistency, safety, and compliance with internal and external specifications.
- Perform in-process and final product inspections using established testing procedures and quality standards.
- Conduct sampling and testing of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of test results, inspections, and non-conformances.
- Assist in the investigation of quality issues, deviations, or customer complaints.
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment in accordance with internal schedules and standards.
- Support and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, ISO, or other applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Communicate findings clearly with production, packaging, and quality teams to resolve issues.
- Participate in internal audits, mock recalls, and corrective action processes.
- Assist with documentation control, including SOPs, work instructions, and batch records.
- Help implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process reliability.
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or GED required, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a science laboratory setting. Associate degree in Science (2 years) or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field is preferred. Must possess strong reading, writing, and basic math skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry systems. Must pass QA/USDA FQSC Certification testing in Grading, Product Holds, Computerized Line sheets and Check-Loading.
1–3 years of experience in QA/QC in a manufacturing environment preferred. Familiarity with quality standards such as GMP, ISO 9001, or HACCP. Strong attention to detail and excellent recordkeeping skills. Must be adaptable and capable of effectively prioritizing tasks in a dynamic work environment. Basic understanding of lab procedures and analytical testing equipment. Non-smoker preferred. Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
