Guide

The Guide provides general support for the Gilchrist operations. The Guide will be responsible for the overall safety and satisfaction of guest experience, preparation, and execution of hunts, providing support to the facility in caring for animals, upkeep of the facility, equipment, and land maintenance. The position requires a mechanical aptitude, and experience using power tools and land equipment for cleaning, maintenance, and repair of the facility.

The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.

• Responsible for the safety and satisfaction of the guest experience.
• Must be able to administer first aid.
• Plans, organizes and conducts hunting trips for individuals and groups; plans itinerary for hunting trips applying knowledge of the area to determine best routes for the optimal guest experience.
• Must be familiar and comfortable with firearms; must be able to instruct guests on the proper use of firearms.
• Ability to instruct guests on hunting procedures and laws to ensure compliance.
• Arranges for transportation for guest, equipment, and supplies for hunts.
• Attend to all animals and their housing.
• Upkeep and maintenance of all facility equipment, land maintenance equipment, and maintenance of wildlife/domestic animals.
• Ability to drive and travel as required to perform errands.

This position operates indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Must be able to lift over 50 pounds. The position requires a mechanical aptitude, and experience using power tools and land equipment for cleaning, maintenance, and repair of the facility. The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.

0 – 3 years of experience required.

• High School diploma/GED.
• Experience in facility maintenance preferred.
• Certified in Hunter and safety
