Location: Port Saint John

Port St. John Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated and compassionate team! This is an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Technician who is eager to fully utilize their technical skills in both surgery and outpatient care

In This Role, You Will
  • Assist with patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery during surgical and dental procedures
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records to support high-quality patient care
  • Support exam room workflow by assisting with outpatient care, patient handling, and appointment preparation
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients: check‑ins, treatment plan reviews, discharge instructions, and general education
  • Anticipate the needs of your team to help maintain an efficient daily workflow while upholding the highest standards of care

This position is ideal for a Veterinary Technician who enjoys engaging with clients and supporting outstanding patient care in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.

Availability

This is a full‑time, flexible position. Availability needed:
Monday–Saturday
, with every other Saturday from 7:45 a.m.–12:15 p.m.

Full‑time benefits and compensation
  • Compensation: $18–22 per hour, for each hour worked*
  • Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive and current experience

Minimum Qualifications And Skill Set

We’re looking for candidates who bring:

  • 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Anesthesia induction & monitoring
    • Dental prophylaxis & digital dental radiographs
    • Cystocentesis
    • IV catheter placement
    • Microscope cytology evaluation
    • IV/IM injections
  • Exotic pet experience
