Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and post‑operative recovery experience to supervise and care for patients during overnight and select day shifts.
The ideal candidate is clinically confident, calm under pressure, detail‑oriented, and highly skilled in immediate post‑anesthesia monitoring and surgical recovery care. This role requires advanced assessment skills, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient status while maintaining a warm, reassuring bedside manner.
Responsibilities- Provide continuous monitoring of post‑op and post‑anesthesia patients.
- Perform comprehensive and focused assessments (airway, breathing, circulation, pain control, neuro status, mobility, drains, dressings).
- Monitor patients transitioning from anesthesia recovery to stable overnight care.
- Administer medications as ordered and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Manage IV lines, fluids, compression devices, surgical drains, and post‑op garments.
- Respond promptly to patient concerns or changes in condition.
- Supervise support staff (CNAs/HHAs/LPNs) and ensure appropriate delegation and care standards.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide thorough hand‑off reports to the daytime team.
- Reinforce post‑op instructions and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- 2+ years of clinical experience in PACU, surgical, or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to recognize early signs of complications.
- Compassionate bedside manner with excellent communication skills.
- Previous plastic surgery experience strongly preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Part‑time and full‑time positions available.
