Verovian Nursing Agency is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Medical-Surgical Oncology Unit in Tallahassee, Florida.

This role involves providing specialized nursing care to oncology patients with a variety of cancer types undergoing medical and surgical treatments.

Job specification

• Administer medications, including chemotherapy and other cancer-related treatments, as prescribed by the oncologist.
• Educate patients and their families about cancer diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and coping strategies.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families throughout the treatment process.
• Ensure compliance with all documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in unit-based training, seminars, and continuing education courses to enhance skills and knowledge.

Candidate requirements

• BSN and associate's degree in nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited program are required.
• BLS, ACLS, and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing, with specific experience in oncology nursing preferred.
• Proficiency in using EHR systems and oncology-specific medical equipment.
