Walton Academy for Growth and Change is located approximately 35 miles from the beautiful white sand beaches in the Northwest Florida Panhandle. We are a high risk DJJ 42-bed residential treatment facility focusing on mental health and substance abuse.

• Order and administer medications per provider’s orders.
• Transcribe provider’s orders in the medical record to the medication administration records.
• Accurate and prompt documentation in the health record.
• Obtain vital signs and BMI, perform basic vision exam, administer IM injections.
• Collect specimens and prepare for lab courier.
• Assist chronic care clinic (i.e., diabetes, asthma, obesity).
• Manage daily sick-call and adhere to the nursing protocols.
• Educate students about their health.
• Maintain clean and tidy workspace.
• Collaborate with peers to meet the needs of the department and campus.
• Monitor medical supply inventory and report when needs ordering.
• Assist with the correction of deficiencies and quality improvement efforts.

• Minimum requirements:
  
  Possess a degree and current Registered Nursing Credential from the state of Florida.
• Have a minimum of two years of previous medical services administration, including demonstrated experience in operating and securing comprehensive health services programs.
• Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
• Must be able to pass a DJJ and DCF background checks.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
