The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning and delivering nursing care to patients/residents requiring long‑term and/or rehabilitative care.

• Work using guidelines established by the Nurse Practice Act, facility policies and procedures, and sound nursing judgment.
• Assess, plan and evaluate nursing care delivered to patients/residents requiring long‑term and/or rehabilitation care.
• Deliver nursing care to patients/residents requiring long‑term and/or rehabilitive care.
• Implement the patient/resident plan of care and evaluate the patient/resident response.
• Direct and supervise care provided by other nursing personnel.
• Provide input in the formulation and evaluation of standards of care.
• Maintain knowledge of necessary documentation requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment set‑up, maintenance and use (e.g., monitors, infusion devices, drain devices, etc.).
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with patient/resident rights, regarding all patient/resident/personnel information.
• Provide patient/resident/family/caregiver education as appropriate and/or directed.
• Conduct self in a professional manner in compliance with unit and facility policies.
• Work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.

• Graduate of a basic education program in professional nursing.
• Minimum of one year medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting or long‑term care setting (acute/critical care is preferred).
• Current Registered Nurse license in state(s) of practice and reliable transportation.
