Registered Nurse - Med​/Surg Ortho

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Registered Nurse candidates for the Medical/Surgical Orthopedic and Oncology Unit will have the following responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing care to promote patient comfort and well-being.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Observe and document patient care, condition, reactions, and progress.
• Participate as a primary nurse, associate nurse, team member, or team leader in planning and implementing patient care.
• Ensure safe aseptic techniques and procedures are followed.
• Provide leadership and guidance to support staff within the department.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• At least 1 year of recent RN experience; acute care experience is preferred but not required (LTAC experience considered).
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida or able to obtain licensure before starting.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification preferred; required within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Salary Range: $27.72 - $33/hr (5 years), $36.30/hr (10 years), $39.60/hr (15+ years)

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000 (case-by-case basis, not guaranteed)

Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis

Shift Differentials: $3 extra per hour for night shifts and $2 extra per hour for weekends
