Apalachee Center invites applicants for the Psychiatric APRN (Central Receiving and Mobile Response) role.
Job SummaryProvides medical/psychiatric/nursing care for acute and chronic health problems, promotes wellness via preventive and intervention methods, evaluates and manages referrals, offers telephonic consultation and after‑hours coverage.
Essential/Core Duties and Responsibilities- Complete clinical evaluations using agency protocols; document assessment, follow‑up, and referrals per the Client Record Handbook.
- Provide and monitor medical/psychiatric/nursing care per established protocols; document all care, including consultations and referrals.
- Administer and monitor pharmacological agents; assess response, side effects, interactions; consult with physicians as needed.
- Meet service productivity standard of at least 60% of work hours and maintain documentation per agency and client standards.
- Educate patients/families, coordinate care and treatment.
- Assess minors for 12‑hour evaluations for admission/referral; provide coverage to treatment units as directed; offer second opinions for Baker Act court; guide MRT counselors; participate in team/committee meetings.
- Maintain updated clinical protocols with physician, submit signed copy annually to HR.
- Comply with infection surveillance and prevention policies; identify and address infection risk factors.
7:30 am–8:00 pm, rotating 12‑hour shifts.
