Program Director, Media, Communications & Marketing
Department: FSU’s Department of Information Technology Services (ITS)
Responsibilities- Lead the Integrated Communications team promoting internal & external communications for technology services, projects, and initiatives.
- Oversee digital and print publications, social media, knowledge base, web content, trainings, outreach, and promotions.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, integrated marketing communications strategy to improve ITS profile across FSU constituent groups.
- Provide management, administrative direction, and coordination of staff and activities across strategic initiatives and operational communications.
- Lead planning, development, and implementation of all ITS communications and marketing strategy to support department objectives and maximize awareness.
- Ensure all content supports and reflects the Florida State University brand, key initiatives, message, and mission in partnership with University Communication.
- Manage ITS unit's communications projects, serving as senior member of Strategy & Outreach team.
- Create strategies for comprehensive campaigns and key messages across traditional, digital, and social media platforms.
- Oversee all ITS-related websites, social media, status messaging systems, and ensure accessibility compliance.
- Manage outreach activities and training resources, including knowledge base, job aids, and multimedia resources.
- Oversee graphic design and video production activities.
- Support professional development of Integrated Communications staff and implement policies for best practice consistency.
- Coordinate clear communications during ITS service-related incidents.
- Master’s degree with four years of experience in media, communications, and/or marketing services, or Bachelor’s degree with six years of related experience, or high school diploma with ten years of related experience.
- Experience in Higher Education.
- One to two years of experience managing a professional staff team.
- Proven experience managing a large‑scale communications campaign.
