Overview
We are looking for a
Maintenance Technician for a growing team at an installation, manufacturing and distribution company in
Gibsonton, Florida
. We provide building materials for the residential building market statewide with locations in Jacksonville, Sanford, Ocala, Melbourne, Winter Haven, Tampa and Fort Myers. We are the largest independent turnkey supplier for lumber, truss, doors, and windows for general contractors, multifamily and single-family builders.
The Maintenance Technician does the general maintenance and routine upkeep of the company’s facilities and equipment. This position will include attendance of the electrical and mechanical systems, maintenance of production equipment, and physical plant.
Duties and Responsibilities- Facilitates proper maintenance of all parts and areas of the facility, including machinery and buildings.
- Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair.
- Maintain the Preventive maintenance program for production machinery and equipment.
- Interprets operational manuals, manufacturer’s specifications, blueprints, and schematics for manufacturing and installation of equipment and machinery.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Support continuous improvement activities.
- All other duties as needed or indicated.
- Technical Knowledge:
Understanding hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, PLCs, robotics, and software logic. - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues.

- Extended hours and weekends, as needed, to achieve the job requirements.
- Working in the manufacturing/warehouse environment, which includes high temperatures and humidity.
- Working in and around the machinery/equipment powered and the associated safety risks.
- Must be able to push, pull, bend, and lift at least 50 lbs.
- Standing, walking, and sitting for long periods.

- PTO (2 weeks per year to start)
- 401k after 6 months
