Location: Mulberry
General purpose:
Responsible for loading and unloading chemicals used in fertilizer & mining, industrial minerals, and road construction. Shift schedule Monday to Friday 7am‑3:30pm. Overtime may be required depending on business demands.
- Load/unload products from or into bulk storage tanks, railcars, Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). tank trailers, and overseas shipping containers.
- Connect or disconnect hoses, open or close valves and transfer products using liquid pumping systems.
- Use a Distributed Control System (DCS) computer system to monitor chemical processes.
- Depending on business demand, operate in more than one area during a shift.
- Use basic math to verify tank levels and available capacity.
- Troubleshoot equipment and processes.
- Complete paperwork, sign Bills of Lading, document material transfers, and placard vessels for safe transportation of product.
- Calculate, manage and document the transfer of products to maintain acceptable inventory levels.
- Climb ladders to secure and open dome lids on tank trailers, shipping containers and railcars.
- Follow all established safety rules and procedures required by Arr Maz, OSHA Standards, DOT and FRA.
- Assist in maintenance activities by performing LOTOTO and issuing work permits.
- Enter work orders into a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to ensure equipment remains in good working order.
- Keep work area clean by completing routine housekeeping duties.
- Working environment is in a chemical facility and requires comfort with outdoor working conditions, routine exposure to the elements, and frequent walking in a large production facility.
- Must be able to safely perform all the duties of the job.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly (pulling and connecting hoses).
- Capable of bending, climbing, stooping, and standing for long periods of time on concrete.
- Must pass a post‑offer/pre‑placement drug screen, background check, job‑related physical abilities, and pulmonary function test.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required.
- Experience in a chemical‑related field, preferred.
- Certified Production Technician (CPT) certification, highly desirable.
- Maintain a rail qualification by the Federal Railroad Administration; company pays for it.
