Production Extrusion Operator

Summary

The position of Operator One is a non‑exempt role that requires working 12‑hour shift rotations. The Operator One will learn and assist Operators and Lead Operators in manufacturing quality PVC pipe safely. It is very important to check pipe regularly to prevent scrap and to monitor overweighs.

• Lift pipe from bell table to the pipe cart when required
• Stack pipe onto the cart
• Perform hourly dimensional checks and associated paperwork as well as machine readings
• Place wood setups in the cart
• Make die adjustments
• Monitor the extruder lines to check all gauges
• Use all measuring tools for dimensional checks on pipe
• Follow all safety and company policies
• Maintain a clean, safe work area
• Perform all other duties assigned by supervision

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Manufacturing and forklift experience preferred

• Ability to climb, stand for long periods, bend, stoop, push and pull
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Work in both hot and cold environments as well as various elements
