As a Director of Environmental Services
, you are responsible for managing the environmental Services department within a 130 bed hospital. You will lead a team of 25 hourly associates, including a supervisor and 1 salaried evening operations manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for department’s financial data and statistics
• Monitoring of unit expenditures
• Develops and recommends department operating budget and ensure the department operates within budget
• Coordinates housekeeping activities with other departments
• Actively communicates with administration and other hospital departments
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and supervises functions and activities of the department
• Establishes work standards and work flow
• Establishes and implements policies and procedures for departmental operations
• Encourages and mentor staff creativity and innovation
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies
• Proactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectives
• Demonstrates quality leadership in meeting performance plans
• Reads, develops, and administers Total Quality Management process

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years of management experience preferably in a hospital or related healthcare environment
• College degree or equal related experience
• Must have the ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data
• General business acumen
• Excellent interpersonal skills and public speaking skills
• High customer service and client relationship building skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
• Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E‑mail and the Internet
