Responsibilities- Accreditation Coordination:
Plan, organize and coordinate the department’s accreditation program. - Establish goals, implement performance measures, make improvements, develop procedures and produce reports.
- Provide support to PRNR staff, develop training programs and coordinate the CAPRA ambassadors and associated activities.
- Operational Coordination:
Lead various assigned activities and personnel. - Participate in and assist with the department’s project intake process, management and reporting.
- Assist with PRNR asset data collection, management and life cycle tracking, reporting, and data to support current and future budget development.
- Coordinate with PRNR divisions, monitor and report progress on plans such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan.
- Participate on panels, committees and strategic discussions.
- Develop/prepare ordinances, resolutions, agreements, amendments and work assignments as needed.
- Write/draft briefing materials and reports, handouts, talking points and presentations.
- Manage systems (like Smartsheet), work spaces, automations and forms.
- Participate in the development of PRNR’s annual budget; contribute to budgetary functions, financial activities and outcomes; participate in the forecasting of funds needed for staffing, equipment and supplies.
- Work Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Parks and Recreation, Business, Finance, Planning, or job-related field.
- Three (3) years of professional job-related experience.
- – OR – Seven (7) years professional job-related experience may substitute for the required education.
- – OR – Master’s Degree can count for one-year of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) or other related professional certification.
- Master’s Degree or progressively responsible related professional experience.
- Accreditation experience.
- Grant writing experience.
- Excellent human relations skills with the ability to communicate courteously and effectively, both orally and in writing, with the public, elected officials, department directors and other employees of the County.
- Interpreting and applying department standards and local, state and federal policies and procedures.
- Planning, organizing and coordinating the work of professional, technical and clerical personnel.
- Assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.
- Ability to research, analyze and present complex data, technical and business information effectively.
Pay: $54,912.00 – $74,630.40
