Crown Automotive Group has an immediate need for an Automotive Group Parts Director to lead the parts departments in all of our locations. A minimum of five years automotive dealership parts experience is required! Multi‑location automotive dealership parts management is preferred.
Additional Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities- Basic phone operation, typing, calculator, and math skills.
- Knowledge and experience with MS Word and MS Excel; ability to create spreadsheets.
- Ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in multiple locations.
- Problem analysis and resolution at a functional and strategic level.
- Self‑starter and self‑directed.
- Attention to detail imperative.
- Able to handle stress effectively and maintain a professional demeanor in all situations.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication and customer service skills – approachable, cheerful, helpful, etc.
- Maintains professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

- Forecasts goals and objectives for the departments and strives to meet them.
- Hires, trains, motivates, and monitors the performance of the parts department managers.
- Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the parts departments.
- Maintains reporting systems required by general management and the factory.
- Attends managers meetings.
- Monitors the performance of the parts departments.
- Strives for harmony and teamwork within the departments and with all other departments.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right‑to‑Know, etc.
- Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
- Trains parts managers in customer satisfaction and to set the example for other service personnel in customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for CSI.
- Sets goals with team(s).
- Develops advertising material.
- Determines staffing needs.
- Reviews group training needs with Department Managers semi‑annually.
- Holds monthly department meetings.
- Holds daily operational meetings.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Fosters professional employee development and coordinates with department managers to determine need for advanced training.
- Maintains high‑quality service and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
- Makes customer satisfaction a department priority, ensuring that parts personnel are courteous and respectful in their interaction with customers.
- Handles customer complaints immediately and according to dealership's guidelines.
- Administers warranty claims, reviews warranty policy adjustments, understands and applies warranty guidelines, ensures correct processing of claims, and communicates warranty information and clarifications to customers.
- Develops dealership parts pricing plans and recommends to dealer or general manager.
- Works with parts and service managers to find ways to improve the overall profitability of the dealership.
- Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities.
- Serves as liaison with factory representatives.
- Attends department meetings as requested.
- Responds to any safety issues reported to management.
- Complies with all policies as described in the “Crown Employee Handbook.”
- Other duties as needed.
