Responsibilities
Work with the Florida Association of City Clerks (FACC) Board of Directors, FACC Professional Education Committee, FACC Staff, and International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) to implement education/training program components for FACC Professional Education Academies that comply with IIMC educational requirements. Identify topics for the Academies. Develop/submit program descriptions for each Academy/Conference session. Identify trainers/instructors/panelists for each session. Negotiate speaker fees/travel expenses within budget.
Serve as contact for IIMC on all official Institute Director requests for information on FACC's education activities. Sign as official necessary/official communications seeking IIMC credit(s) approvals for FACC Academy, Conference, regional education programs, and certificates issued by FACC. Respond to IIMC requests for information, expertise, project participation, etc.
Serves as the Executive Director for two regional governmental associations: the Northwest Florida League of Cities and the Suwannee River League of Cities. Leads and executes functions necessary for both regional leagues to support and guide their organizational missions as defined by each respective Board of Directors. Provides fiscal management that ensures optimal resource utilization and maintains the organization in a strong financial position.
Directs and coordinates organizational strategic planning and implementation. Enhances regional and state visibility for member cities and corporate supporters. Provides opportunities to build professional relationships between member cities, legislative representatives, legislative staff, and other professional, civic, and private organizations. Plans and executes association meetings and events, member communication, advocacy efforts, membership committees, the past president advisory council, and regional compact initiatives.
Oversees and coordinates social media, league marketing materials, websites, and press releases.
Represent the FSU-IOG at local, regional, and statewide project meetings and training and education events.
Serve as project leader on training and education projects assigned by the Program Director.
Fulfill contractual project duties as required. Oversee budget and contracting process for assigned projects.
Serve as additional on-site staff for other FSU-IOG conferences and events.
Assist with or complete special assignments or other duties as deemed necessary.

QualificationsA bachelor s degree, two years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and six years of experience are required.
A valid State of Florida or Georgia driver’s license or the ability to obtain it before hire.
Preferred QualificationsExcellent problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills.
Skilled in computer operations to include MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with office practices and procedures, etiquette.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Public speaking skills.
