Responsibilities- Set up and break down folding chairs, tables, risers, podiums, furnishings, equipment, and/or other materials in support of educational events across the University. Performs light to heavy lifting of equipment, furnishings, and materials for in-office or small office moves within buildings. Relocation of property may be accomplished with the assistance of other personnel or with the use of equipment such as flatbed dollies or hand trucks.
May be responsible for lifting objects up to a minimum of 50 pounds independently. - Physically pick up and deliver surplus property to and from the FSU Surplus warehouse and operate relocation vehicles as needed (box truck, pickup truck, trailer, van, forklift, golf cart, pallet jack, etc.). As needed, assist with the moving of large items within Surplus warehouses.
- Performs offloading, stacking, or organizing supplies and/or equipment within the warehouse or storage space. Provides support on an as‑needed basis to the Relocation Team, delivering and moving supplies and equipment to buildings.
- Completion of 9th grade.
- A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver’s License or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position to include lifting objects up to a minimum of 50 pounds independently.
