Maintenance Lead, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic, Building Maintenance

Overview

The Plant Maintenance Lead coordinates general maintenance and routine upkeep of the company’s facilities and equipment. This position will include attendance of the electrical and mechanical systems, maintenance of production equipment, and physical plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Facilitates proper maintenance of all parts and areas of the facility, including machinery and buildings.
• Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair
• Maintain the Preventive maintenance program for production machinery and equipment.
• Interprets operational manuals, manufacturer’s specifications, blueprints, and schematics for manufacturing and installation of equipment and machinery.
• Lead Maintenance mechanics and delegate tasks and projects as needed.
• Create and maintain a vendor base to ensure quality repair and maintenance materials availability for minimizing costs and maintaining the levels for the plant
• Maintain storeroom supplies related to building and equipment maintenance/upkeep.
• Technical lead for contractors onsite for special projects.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
  
  All other duties as needed or indicated.

Qualifications:

• Technical Knowledge:
  Understanding hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, PLCs, robotics, and software logic.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage, communicate with and engage the team.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person.
• Extended hours, as needed, to achieve the job requirements.
• Working in the manufacturing/warehouse environment, which includes high temperatures and humidity.
• Working in and around the machinery/equipment powered and the associated safety risks.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to push, pull, bend, and lift at least 50 lbs.
• Standing, walking, and sitting for long periods.
