Job Summary
Vernis & Bowling is an AV‑rated National Insurance defense firm seeking law clerks who can work part‑time through the academic year and full‑time in the summer to support our Islamorada, Florida Keys office. This is a year‑round clerk position.
Responsibilities- Perform legal research and review documents.
- Draft motions, respond to discovery requests, and prepare for trial.
- Support various civil litigation defense practice areas.
- Must be physically present in the office; ability to commute to Islamorada, Florida Keys.
- Flexible schedule of approximately 15‑20 hours per week during the academic year, with full‑time availability in summer.
- Enrolled as a student in an accredited law school.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Submit a writing sample with résumé (required).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
This position is a path to full‑time employment upon graduation.
