A prestigious AMLAW 200 law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join its Sarasota office. This role supports a busy litigation practice and plays a critical part in delivering exceptional service to attorneys and clients while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and excellence.

- Provide comprehensive litigation and legal administrative support to attorneys
- Handle case opening, conflicts checks, billing coordination, records, and firm processes
- File pleadings in Florida State and Federal courts in compliance with court rules
- Draft, proofread, and manage correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents
- Calculate deadlines and manage calendars to ensure compliance with court requirements
- Schedule hearings, client meetings, and appointments
Assist with the client billing process, including narratives, edits, deadlines, and delivery - Track attorney and client expenses; process reimbursements and payments
- Maintain electronic and paper case files
- Manage incoming/outgoing mail, calls, and professional communications
- Minimum 5 years of Florida law firm experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant and/or Paralegal
- Experience in mid- to large-size law firm environments
- Strong knowledge of Florida rules of procedure and court filing systems
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Commitment to outstanding client service and follow-through
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with law firm case management and billing systems required
- Familiarity with iManage, Smart Time, Aderant, and Relativity is a plus
- Onsite position – not remote or hybrid
- Role involves regular typing, document handling, and professional communication
