requirements:

• high school diploma or its equivalent.
• active certified florida law enforcement officer; possess a passing score on the state of florida law enforcement certification examination and be eligible to receive the law enforcement certification; or completed the florida equivalency of training (cjstc 76) and be eligible to receive the law enforcement certification in accordance with section 943.13, florida statutes.
• three (3) or more years of sworn law enforcement experience
• proficient in using microsoft office products (word, excel, outlook, etc.)
• experienced in investigative backgrounds.
• valid driver’s license from the florida department of safety and motor vehicles by time of employment.

preference s:

• a degree from an accredited college or university.
• experience conducting fact-finding interviews with members of the public to gather information.
• experience in working in a law enforcement agency or a government investigative agency.
• special consideration may be given to eligible candidates who have bilingual verbal and written skills that meet a critical need of the agency’s mission.

the hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour. The anticipated hours worked per week is 20-30 hours.

employees of the department of financial services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
