requirements:
- high school diploma or its equivalent.
- active certified florida law enforcement officer; possess a passing score on the state of florida law enforcement certification examination and be eligible to receive the law enforcement certification; or completed the florida equivalency of training (cjstc 76) and be eligible to receive the law enforcement certification in accordance with section 943.13, florida statutes.
- three (3) or more years of sworn law enforcement experience
- proficient in using microsoft office products (word, excel, outlook, etc.)
- experienced in investigative backgrounds.
- valid driver’s license from the florida department of safety and motor vehicles by time of employment.
preference s:
- a degree from an accredited college or university.
- experience conducting fact-finding interviews with members of the public to gather information.
- experience in working in a law enforcement agency or a government investigative agency.
- special consideration may be given to eligible candidates who have bilingual verbal and written skills that meet a critical need of the agency’s mission.
note: correctional officer and correction probational officer certifications do not meet the requirements of the job description

the hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour. The anticipated hours worked per week is 20-30 hours.
employees of the department of financial services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
