About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation Attorney with 2–5 years of experience to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will manage and assist with bankruptcy matters from inception to resolution, handle state court litigation, and provide exceptional service to clients while maintaining compliance with federal and state laws.
Key Responsibilities- Represent clients in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy proceedings.
- Conduct and oversee case assessments, filings, and adversary proceedings.
- Draft and review legal documents, including petitions, motions, and pleadings.
- Negotiate with creditors and trustees on behalf of clients.
- Maintain detailed and organized case files and manage deadlines effectively.
- Collaborate with support staff and colleagues to ensure high-quality legal representation.
- Represent clients in state court litigation.
- Stay current with bankruptcy laws, court procedures, and regulatory changes.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of Florida (in good standing).
- 2–5 years of legal experience, with a focus on bankruptcy law or commercial litigation.
- Strong knowledge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, federal rules, and local procedures.
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and research skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet critical deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and client-focused attitude.
- Experience working with creditors, trustees, and courts in bankruptcy proceedings.
- Familiarity with case management software and electronic filing systems.
- Litigation or courtroom experience in bankruptcy or state court matters.
