• Manage an assigned territory to ensure profitable growth of the Excess & Surplus line of business, including production, underwriting, sales and service.
• Underwrite and service the most complex accounts and largest agency relationships in the Florida region.
• Mentor teammates, deliver training programs and assist in the development of underwriting guidelines and products.
• Support the start-up Surplus Lines casualty business and help establish guidelines, processes, and performance metrics.
• Travel throughout the territory as required; the position can be based at FCCI's Corporate Headquarters in Sarasota, FL or remote within Florida.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant progressive experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Minimum eight years of commercial underwriting experience with a focus on casualty surplus lines.
• Comprehensive understanding of key exposures and portfolio pricing techniques.
• Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability and sound judgment.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Professional designation in underwriting or a related field.

Salary Range: $114,639 – $176,545 annually. This range is an estimate and may vary based on education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
